Let me be the first to say Bonne Annee, Prosit Neujahr, Hauoli Makahiki Hou, L'Shannah Tovah,
Felice Anno Nuovo, Feliz Ano ~Nuevo, Manigong Bagong Taon - in
other words, Happy New Year to Bougieland!

To those that had amazing things happen in 2011 - may 2012 be the icing on that already sweet cake. New relationships (some Bougieland-inspired), marriages, babies, and jobs - YAY!!!

To those that had a not-so-great year - may you be able to turn things around in 2012 and live the life you deserve with all the bells and whistles.

According to the Mayan calendar 2012 is it for us, but Hell, if we do not get out, get registered, and vote, it may as well be the end. Can you imagine Romney or Gingrich in the White House?? Makes me shudder to even think about it...

As for me, I will be enjoying my first New Year as a married woman. We are staying home, smoking a ham and turkey for the New Year's Day dinner, and preparing my black-eyed peas and greens. I need to mentally prepare for a year of Saturdays being spent in school while I pursue my MBA. Pray for me, as I will always pray for you guys!

What a wonderful Happy New Year's greeting Roz!!! And yes, I do plan to live the life that I deserve in 2012. I am going to sow what I want to grow, and also realize that if I'm not careful I will not like some of the things that will harvest do to bad sowing. I wish you and your husband many blessings in your new life together!  Blessings of peace, love and joy to you both!

I went to church. My pastor's message: I'm not going back! When you look back it hinders your forward progress, leads you to hesitate and eventually causes you to halt.
