Le Bouge is laid low by Le Sinus Infection. Sinuses 3, Chele 0. Which means we'll have to squeeze the rest of He Said/She Said Week into tomorrow or stretch into Saturday. Plus, folks sent in great stuff that we haven't addressed yet. I'm going back to bed. Talk amongst yourselves.

Grandma's recipe that was passed along by a dear friend: take a hot shower, then put on clean sweats. Heat a cup full of cranberry juice on the stove or in the microwave, then pour into a mug over the back of a spoon (because that's what Grandma said to do), drink down and get into bed. The juice will open your pores and you will sweat the toxins out of your sinuses. Then the neti pot should keep you going along just fine.
Feel Better!!!!
aww get better Chele, I know from personal experiences that sinus trouble is no fun.
Esperamos que se sienta mejor al poco tiempo, querida. Dios los bendiga.
Chamomile tea with peppermint will help clear the sinuses out, plus using a neti pot (I know, real old school) will clean those nostril passages. It's not fun, but it sure is effective.
"...saline nasal irrigation (SNI) has become more widely accepted as a home remedy to relieve conditions such as allergies (such as hay fever), colds and mild sinus infections. Preliminary research indicates that SNI could also be an effective treatment for allergic rhinitis and chronic sinusitis." Info from my mom (a great nurse!) and confirmed on Wikipedia!
Awww poor thing! Hope you feel better soon! Take care of yourself!
Feel better, Chele. I go through sinus issues too, which sucks since I have to sing for the next 7 nights.
And if you don't pour it over the back of the spoon, it won't work! LOL!!! I love down home remedies! Truth is they usually work.
